Dan Attridge has practiced in Kirkland's Washington, D.C., office since 1980 and served as the managing partner of the Washington, D.C., office from 1998 to 2013. He is a very experienced trial and appellate lawyer who has litigated cases before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels throughout the United States. His cases have involved a wide range of industries and practice areas, including intellectual property; antitrust and unfair competition; commercial and government contracts; insurance coverage and discrimination; and corporate and securities.
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
• Counsel for Barr Laboratories in high-stakes ANDA litigation, invalidating a branded competitor's patent and allowing Barr to enter the $175 million a year U.S. market for desmopressin acetate oral tablets.
• Counsel for Bayer Corporation's Haarmann & Reimer in defense of antitrust litigation arising out of the international citric acid price-fixing conspiracy, successfully resolving civil and criminal cases throughout the country.
• Counsel for B. Braun Medical in company-threatening patent infringement actions, successfully defeating its competitors' attempts to preclude Braun from marketing its innovative IV catheter and medical connector products.
• Counsel for Dow Chemical in the successful defense of patent infringement litigation challenging polymer catalyst technology in which the company had invested over $1 billion, winning a two-week bench trial against Exxon.
• Counsel for Hughes Aircraft in litigation successfully upholding the Federal Aviation Administration's award of a $475 million satellite navigation contract to Hughes.
